Throughout that period to the 70’s the Bills had a losing streak against the Miami’s. The Dolphins recorded 17 wins by November 1978 as compared to only 4 wins made by the Bills. This was frustrating for the Buffalo Bills fans. This continued until September 7, 1980, when the Bills broke the no win streak by beating the Miamis 17-7. Following the game, 88,000 fans stormed into the play ground, brought down the goalposts, and sent them to Bill’s owner Owner Ralph Wilson’s as a gift.Ever since there has been rivalry between the two teams.
