The Buffalo Bills Football Home Stadium Ralph Wilson:

There’s no doubting the fact that the Buffalo Bills are right up there along with the most reputable NFL teams out there. The professional team was founded way back in 1960 during which they featured in the AFL (American Football League) under the guidance of then head coach Buster Ramsey. The Bills became a part of the NFL set-up following the merger that took place between the NFL and the AFL in 1970.

The club is currently a member of the NFL’s American Football Conference east division. When the team came to be in 1960, they used the old War Memorial Stadium as their home ground up until 1972 when they adopted the Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, which they use today.

It is also worth noting that the Bills are the only NFL team that actually plays their games in New York, the other New York based sides (New York Giants and New York Jets) ply their trade at the MetLife Stadium.

The War Memorial Stadium was dubbed undersized as it had a minnow capacity of 47,000 which didn’t meet the average size requirement of 50,000 seats after the League implemented the average size mandate during the 1970 merger. During that whole period then owner Ralph Wilson was contemplating relocating the team to Seattle but the prospect of losing the team got the ball rolling for the Rich Stadium to be established in 1973.
